2025 Edition

The second edition of the ASIFA Student Animation Award received 48 submissions, which were reviewed by a selection committee (Briana Yarhouse, Jim Middleton, and Valentas Askinis) and judged by the jury committee (Nelson Shin, Nancy Denney-Phelps, and Vessela Dantcheva). Emerging animation talent Tianyun Lyu has been awarded the prestigious ASIFA Student Award of 2025 for her short-animated film Wild Animal, a compelling storytelling and visually exquisite exploration of the connection between nature and human beings, bringing the audience an in-depth reflection about the cost of survival. The short film has been screened at many well-known film festivals in Europe, North America, Asia, etc.
