The ASIFA Student Award project was initiated in 2020 on the occasion of ASIFA's 60 Years Anniversary. The award is given annually to outstanding student animators whose work demonstrates exceptional artistic talent and a fresh voice in the art of animation. The competition is open to all students, including those who are not ASIFA members. The ASA project team is supported by the work of volunteer members.
Our mission is to discover, nurture, and showcase the most innovative and inspiring student animation work from around the globe. Whether you specialize in 2D, 3D, stop-motion, or experimental techniques, we welcome submissions that push creative boundaries and tell compelling stories.
Each year, an international jury of renowned animators reviews hundreds of submissions to select a winner. The winner will recieve cash prizes, travel opportunity and recognition from the international animation community.
